Micaela Chavez

Digital Director
Micaela Chavez is Left Hook’s Digital Director.

As Left Hook’s Digital Director, Micaela manages a department at the intersection of creative, advertising, and communications in the digital space – overseeing digital programs for congressional, senatorial, gubernatorial, and state races across the country.

In 2020, Micaela helped Democrats take back control of the U.S. Senate, including running the digital ad campaign for former astronaut Capt. Mark Kelly in Arizona and for SuperPACs which successfully targeted the U.S. Senate races in Georgia and Colorado.

Her work in 2020 was recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants and Campaigns & Elections – winning eight Pollie Awards and four Reed Awards in the digital space.

Micaela joined Left Hook after having spent several years building out the digital department at RALLY communications in San Francisco. Working on behalf of clients in the issue-advocacy world, she developed and executed digital programs for organizations like the ACLU, the Packard Foundation, The California Endowment, among others. In the electoral space, her work leading California’s Proposition 68 to victory went on to win Best Digital or Internet Campaign for a Ballot Measure at the 2019 Pollie Awards.

Prior to moving back to sunny California, Micaela ran programmatic programs for top-tier Congressional races in Washington D.C. and helped build out mobile messaging strategy for the Bernie Sanders 2016 campaign at Revolution Messaging.

When she’s not in the office, Micaela is on the hunt for the best Tacos Al Pastor in Los Angeles or a roof to enjoy the city’s famous sunsets.
